Designed for individuals who are new to instructing and with limited first aid background, this program begins by reinforcing the basic skills and knowledge of Standard First Aid and CPR. Candidates will then develop a deeper and broader understanding of the anatomy and physiology of medical emergencies and their treatments. Concurrent to this, educational theory, lesson planning, and instructorship skills will be developed and practiced in a variety of settings. Included in this program is the opportunity for each candidate to deliver actual courses or portions thereof with the support and guidance of an Arctic Response Instructor Trainer.
Successful candidates will become certified Rescue 7 Instructor through Arctic Response and will be qualified to deliver first aid programs on their own.
