This training familiarizes students with basic GIS (Geographic Information Systems) functions using simple and easily accessible tools. Based on the client’s needs, this can include the usage and management of GPS data, Garmin Basecamp, Google Earth, and mapping software from both the GNWT Centre for Geomatics and Department of Lands. The process begins with a discussion of the client’s goals, and the training program is custom-designed to achieve these.
