Restricted Operator Certificate with Aeronautical Certification, ROC-A
An ROC-A is required by operators of radiotelephone equipment on board aircraft and at aeronautical land (fixed and mobile) radio stations using aeronautical VHF frequencies.
This four hour program trains candidates in:
- Relevant radio regulations
- Operating procedures
- Emergency communications
- Radio terminology and phraseology, and
- Equipment fundamentals.
At the end of training, candidates write the Industry Canada exam and upon successful completion are issued their ROC-A license.
