Overview
Construction Fundamentals will give student an understanding of the principles of modern construction techniques. They will be exposed to different tools and methods to complete a construction project and have hands on practical training in the foundations construction. Four weeks of on project training implementing the skills learned in the following seven courses. This course will set up graduates to have necessary job skills to start a career in construction and look forward with confidence to carry on in trades training in the future.
Students will learn a wide range of skills including safety, blueprints, tools, and finishing. Optional additional course offerings include aeriel work platform, skid steer operation, and forklift certification.

- Module 1 – Construction Safety Training – 5 days
- Module 2 – Safe Tool Use – 5 days
- Module 3 – Blueprint Training – 5 days
- Module 4 – Foundations – 5 days
- Module 5 – Framing and Rough Carpentry – 15 days
- Module 6 – Finish Carpenttry – 10 days
- Module 7 – Fundamentals of Building Science – 15 days
