Overview
Any work or travel in remote locations or challenging environmental conditions entails a suite of hazards and risks that must be carefully considered to keep employees safe. Introduction to Wilderness Risk Management equips participants with effective strategies to inventory risks for any activity, and provides a range of tools for assessing (both qualitatively and quantitatively) the frequency, severity, and exposure to a given risk. Approaches to reducing the different dimensions of risk are applied to clientspecific examples, resulting in a meaningful experience that will have direct and positive impacts on the way in which work is planned and executed.
