Overview

Under Section 140 of the Alberta OHS Code, the ability to rescue workers suspended by a harness or other arrest equipment is a legal requirement.  Furthermore, relying on municipal emergency services to effect rescue is not a legally acceptable contingency for the employer’s fall protection plan.

Arctic Response provides both initial and recurrency Fall Arrest Rescue training for rescue team members.  Each serial of this 3 day program is tailored to client specific work environments, resource availability and team building needs. This training is extensively scenario based and intended to train rescuers in effective team operations and working under stress.
